Vlog Day 12

It’s day 12 and I haven’t had a whole lot of time this week to really devote to the site. Aside from becoming a full time Internet Marketer I’m also a family man with a lot of extra duties and chores that make up my, life so it can be incredibly hard to balance everything. I’ve been trying to squeeze in the kitchen remodeling job (that I’ve been working on for awhile) through out this last week and it’s a bigger job then I originally anticipated. It defiantly needs to get done (I know this because my wife keeps reminding me of it) so I’ve only had about an hour each night to work online.
As for what I’ve been doing with the site, I’ve turned my focus on the opt in product because I really can’t move forward till this part is done. If I plan to be an internet marketer (at least a successful one) then I need to focus on creating a high quality product to give away so that I can build a big list. Your mailing list is the key to making money so I have to focus mainly on the product and list building.
On top of that I haven’t shot a “how to” video for the blog in quite a while so that needs to be done as well. Maintaining a good internet business requires an equal balance of everything.
- If I can’t keep fresh content up on the blog then people will stop visiting my site.
- If I don’t have a good free product to offer them, in exchange for their name & email address, then I can’t build a list.
- If I don’t continue to nurture my list then I will loose their trust and relationship.
- If I slow down momentum then everything will begin to crumble
- If I don’t finish the kitchen then my lovely, pregnant, moody wife will kick my butt. (lol)
In a perfect working setting, if I had no full time job, was single without children, and I had a lot of money to outsource 90% of everything, then it would be a lot easier to focus purely on becoming a full time internet marketer. But the good part about all this, is that the majority of people live life the same as I and others will be able to relate to a regular guy working to become a full time internet marketer and what it takes.
I don’t have an endless stream of money to outsource my work to and speed up my time (I have a family to support) so I had to learn everything myself and do it all by hand.
I have kids sporting games to attend, a little one that needs daddies attention, a pregnant wife that needs my help doing the majority of the household stuff, A full time job, a kitchen to remodel, and several other little details life takes up. My time to devote to my passion only fits between the hours of 9pm-1am, and in order to get that I have to sacrifice my sleep and get up at 5:30am for work the next day.
My point to all this is that everyone has a life of their own with many things to accomplish throughout their day. When you run across somebody successful online and they talk about showing you how to make millions or how to be successful or even how to create an online business, we usually look at only the glamor & glitz and see nothing about what goes on behind the scenes. I understand that you have a busy life and I know that you have a passion to work online and escape the “9-5 rat race” but I’m not going to blind you with just the money and glamor. There is a lot of work that goes into creating an online business and if you’re a working class family man/woman then we have it twice as hard, but you have to stay focused on your dream and let nothing stand in your way. I love teaching people, I love researching new information and ideas, I love reading emails from people that I’ve never met before but they’re thanking me for taking the time to help them.
I spent so many early years of my life just trying to figure out what the heck I was going to do with it (career wise) and I don’t plan on giving up. Ya it’s hard and tiring work but this is what I’m good at and I’ll just keep pushing forward no matter how many things life throws at me.

Ok, sorry about that. I kinda went on and on didn’t I? I guess you can tell that I’m pretty tired and just babbling huh? Hope I didn’t bore you to much and I’ll plan to get a video blog out to you on Monday. I’ll also try to make up for my lack of content this week by getting together a “how to” video over the weekend. Sorry there hasn’t been a lot of content lately, hope you understand and I’ll try to make up for it.
Take Care,
Charles Rivera
