Truth Online went live today with the topic of “How to build a Fanbase”.

In the news today I covered a man who was offered a $30 Million Hollywood movie deal from Ghost House Productions, for a video he created on Youtube. With a $300 budget and a lot of imagination, he was already receiving Hollywood deals 4 days after uploading the video. I thought it was a pretty cool video, check it out below:

** I answered some viewer emails including a more in depth discussion about what to sell on Ebay and how to make some quick cash.

** The big question about the Ignite product was finally answered and we no longer plan to sell the product. We will, in fact, be giving it away through individual classroom settings where I’ll cover all of the basic aspects needed to create a successful business online and show you step by step instructions on how to do it. These workshops will be held on Thursdays, but the time and start date are not yet decided.

** Then I discussed what it takes to build a huge online Fanbase and also what it takes to be popular. There are several different ways to do this but the ideas I listed were:

Building a Fanbase:
Social Media
Blog
Youtube Videos (video Networking)
Vlog (sexy Phil, What the Buck, etc…
Article writer
Participate in forum discussions

And in order to gain popularity:
Be different & stand out
Be an expert in your niche
Confidence
Be entertaining
Relate to your audience (way you talk, dress, etc..)
Research your biggest competition

Two weeks back we had some audio trouble with the live broadcast of Truth Online so we took a second run at it last Friday. The show started a little late because of more freaken problems, but none the less we launched anyway.

The show had a good turn out and we got a lot of emails, so on next Fridays show(1/1/2010) we plan to tackle the answers to some of those questions that you guys sent in. Unfortunatly I was an idiot and forgot to hit the record button so none of the show was recorded, but we’ll revise it later in the year.

On a side note, who’s ready for Christmas? I am totally not feeling the holiday spirt this year! Why is it that children count the number of days till Christmas and the adults count the number of paychecks till xmas? Seriously, it seems like the fun and excitement I use to feel around this time as a kid is now suddenly gone. Have you tried going to the mall lately!?

Man, what a total nightmare!

But I guess I’ll just hang in there, and since xmas is right around the corner I’ll now start counting the number of days till this year is over.

The buzz floating around about Tweeter Rx has sent numerous emails to our inbox to find out when it was going to be released. Last Saturday we offically finised and launced the much anticipated Tweeter Rx and the sales have been overwhelming!

We knew we had a killer program on our hands but we never thought we would sell so many copies. We cut the sales price by half then took it a step further and offered $5 off that price for simply tweeting out a message about the program, and that drove the demand through the roof!

When we developed the program we made the decision not to charge an arm and a leg for the price like we kept seeing other programs do, we just wanted to get this out to everyone and offer really good information. So when we broke the price down and saw that we would only be making 10 bucks on each sale we didn’t expect millions or anything… but like I said, we didn’t expect it to spread so quickly either.

So anyway, this thing has done so awesome and we’re just excited that people like it so much. You guys have inspired new fresh ideas in us and we’ll continue to deliver great products with awesome deals.

Although legal jargon can be boring (really borning in fact), you should still take a look at it, better to just spend 10 minutes trying to read it and understand it than regreting it later! So we took a break from reality this past Saturday and had a Halloween party. It was actually my wife’s birthday but she wanted to have people come over and dress up in costumes. It was sweet! We had our close friends over for some “festivities” of all sorts. It was crazy how even though we are all grown up now we still like dressing up and being someone we are not. As little kids we would do this every day with pretending to be a dinosaur, power ranger, or whatever. But as we grow up it is funny how even though we do not pretend to be someone else on a daily basis, we still have the urge to do so when it is “appropriate”, on Halloween. So I encourage everyone to go put on a costume and have some fun on Halloween. Go to a party, hand out candy to trick-or-treaters, or to a family function and have a blast. I know we did!

One key tactic to help increase your traffic is to submit your URL to various search engines.

Doing this does two things for you.

1. It will make it easier for people to find you using various search engines. (since this is probably the most popular way people find your website)

2. Submitting your URL to search engines will increase your page rank. (Example: If your website is about lawn care, and someone types “Lawn Care” into a search engine…it will probably return thousands of results. But depending on your Page Rank, your website could be dispayed anywhere between the first and last page.)

So submitting your URL to search engines can be bennificial to your site traffic. There are hundreds of search engines all over the internet, so if you want to really make a hard impact then I’d advise you to purchase a good software program that can help you submit your URL to hundreds of these sites for you. You just have to remember that the search engines do not index your URL forever, in fact each submission only last about 3 months then you’ll have to go back and do it again.
