Brand Yourself!
It’s very important to Brand Yourself if you plan on being successful online. In the business world, it can be really hard to compete and stand out amoung the crowd. So if you are able to create that ability to “stick” in someones mind, then when they think about a particular business niche they will automatically think of you.
What does it mean to brand yourself you ask?
Well when you brand yourself, you are actually using a strategic plan to market yourself differently then anyone else so that you can stand out. Take a look across the internet and do a search on any business niche. Just by using Google and typing in your keyword produces hundreds of results. So if you wanted to start a business how would other people be able to tell you apart for the masses? This is a good question, and it’s one that all top marketers ask themselves every time they advertise.
First you need to identify what makes you different from the other people in your niche. This may take a while to figure out but it’s usually a natural ability that you already possess.
I’ve studied under millionaires and spent years researching online marketing tips and tricks, so the first thing I personally wanted to use was my knowledge. This was only a part of who I was so I continued to dig deeper. I thought about all the families I have helped get out of debit and build successful businesses without charging a dime, so I considered my passion to help people. Then I thought about how I love to make videos and make people laugh, so I added my entertainment side. I took all of these facts about who I was and decided that this was the way I wanted to brand myself to the public. So now every time I write something, shoot a video, or just talk to people, I always reflect back on my qualities and continue to brand myself in these areas.
So “how do I brand myself”?
- 1. Start by writing quality content articles or posting your own blog so your name begins to circulate around the internet and it automatically raises questions of “who the heck is this person”.
2. As a marketer, decide on the product or message your selling and make sure the content you provide contains truth and creditability. As people get to know you they begin to trust you as long as you keep providing quality content about every product you promote.
3. Try to stick to a specific area in your niche and don’t bounce around to various areas outside of your niche. Gather all of the knowledge you can about your area of expertise and continue to educate people with that knowledge. Your image is everything.
Imagine any character from one of your favorite tv shows or movies. More then likely, hundreds of other people know this same character also because of the personality the actor branded that character with. Build yourself around this thought and keep in mind that if you make your character stick in everyone’s mind, then you will have thousands of people that know who you are and it will absolutely increase your sales.
